| Why use Xenon bulbs? |
Longer Lamp Life
Xenon light bulbs contain Xenon gas encased in the glass envelope of the lamp which helps increase the rated life of the lamp. Halogen and Incandescent Festoon bulbs only last about 4,000 hrs, but some Xenon light bulbs last up to 20,000 hrs!
Maybe Handled with Bare Hands
Touching a halogen light bulb can cause the bulb to burn out prematurely, however, xenon light bulbs may be touched by bare hands without experiencing premature lamp failure.
Caution: always wait for the xenon bulb to cool down before touching it.
Minimal Harmful UV Rays
Xenon light bulbs emit minimal UV, or ultraviolet rays.
Reduced Heat
Xenon light bulbs operate much cooler than similar halogen light bulbs.
Dimmable
Xenon light bulbs may be easily dimmed, which can increase its average life even more than the rated life. Dimming the xenon light bulbs also reduces energy costs.
Brilliant Light
The xenon gas in the bulb gives you the brilliant light which is suitable for display lighting. Light from a xenon light bulb is cooler in appearance than an incandescent bulb but warmer in appearance than a halogen bulb. |
