Pulse Start Metal Halide lamps utilize an arc tube with much higher fill pressure than standard Metal Halide lamps. This reduces the tungsten evaporation from the electrodes and reduces the darkening of the lamp envelope, which provides better lumen maintenence, longer lamp life, and better color stability as compared to standard Metal Halide lamps. Note: All Pulse Start bulbs require a Pulse Start ballast.
